Techpoint Africa: My Experience

PIN

Hello guys. It has been a long while and I’m sorry.

If you follow me on Twitter, which I advise you to do, you would however, be up-to-date with the fascinating things I have been up to!

So, TechPoint Inspired 2019 was a success, and it held on the 1st of June, 2019. I know that is a long time back in time from today, but the Powerful memories I got still linger on my mind! Let us look at the whole day as I attended Tech Meetup that  held at Pitis Centre, Lekki. And of course, my ticket was sponsored, courtesy the organizers of Techpoint, as I saw and applied. Here is a banner of the event I got:

This was right after I got an official email ticket from TechPoint and this was how it was. Since there is no sensitive information, here it is: techpoint mail

It read:

This Ticket is Sponsored by Andela, Globenova, FCMB,  RightCom, Estate_Intel
So, from the beginning to the end, it was all about AI, Blockchain and the Future of Work. There were so many great speakers there too and I was especially fascinated at how Africa is growing, technology wise.

Free Food/Snacks/Tshirts?

Unlike other meetups, none of these were shared for free. But I am sure it is because of the budget- they really spent a lot as there was a touch of excellenve- from the start to the finish.
There were so many tech stands like Ruby bank, a group that organized tech training for teens, Google Fuel your hustle, FaceBook Developers Build, Wema bank with their 360 degrees free video shoot, which I opted in for! It was a very fascinated experience indeed!
Would I go Next Year?
Me: Of course! This is my first tech meetup I attended interestingly, and now I wished I carried a small notepad along! So till the next tech meeting, I’d keep my fingers crossed!
