Innovation seems to be limitless and full of  endless possibilities. This is why every year, tech enthusiasts are looking forward to that new ‘it’ gadget that can revolutionize the market with its new design, specs and features.

Now that we are on the last day of the year 2017, the market is yet gearing up for new announcements and innovations that will begin to come out on the tech market next year – 2018.Cool gadgets to Expect in 2018

Of course, almost everyone is already expecting the iPhone X to be the most sought after gadget by next year, but the model has since been plagued with durability issues since the moment of its reveal. Despite that, Apple enthusiasts are still excited to get their hands on the new iPhone X – which will be available starting this month in limited supply.Apple 2018‌But the tech market does not just revolve on Apple or the iPhone X, there are more players in the industry that have good stuff coming in 2018. Below are just three of the coolest gadgets that are expected to be announced or released by 2018:

1. Google Pixel Buds

It seems that Google has come up with its own line of wireless earbuds to rival Apple’s AirPods. This is news that should get Android users and loyalists rejoicing, since Google’s Pixel Buds is expected to be compatible with every Android smartphone.Google pixel buds

Like AirPods, the Pixel Buds is also expected to be integrated with Google’s own assistant (like how Siri is integrated with the AirPods), and users can also listen to music, make calls and set schedules through it. It is also rumored that the Pixel Buds will be equipped with a real-time translator that is capable of translating over 40 languages.

What Else to Expect in 2018

Aside from their Pixel Buds, Google still has a lot in store for the market this coming 2018. One of those is the new Pixel 2 model which is already announced last month. The new smartphone is said to be equipped with an improved artificial intelligence (AI) feature, and with a better camera that can top Apple’s iPhone camera quality.Google ai

Another Google gadget that is set for release on 2018 is the Google Home Max. This seems to be yet another gadget that is innovated to rival another Apple product – the HomePod. Like the HomePod, Google Home Max is a wi-fi connected smart speaker that can play quality music and equipped to work with Google Assistant and Chromecast. Both the Google Home Max and the new HomePod are set to be released next month to jumpstart the holiday season – and it will then be widely available by the start of 2018.Google home max

Samsung Galaxy S9

It seems that Samsung has redeemed itself from all that battery-exploding fiasco with its success of the Samsung Galaxy S8 this year. As of the moment, tech enthusiasts are predicting that the leading smartphone manufacturer won’t just sit idly while its biggest competitor (Apple) is about to release the iPhone X worldwide. And with Google’s upcoming Pixel 2, it is expected that Samsung will come up with even edgier and more competitive functions for its new smartphone model.

happy new year to my wonderful readers!

Eventually, the company will announce a new Samsung Galaxy line by 2018, but as to what its specs and features will be, the market is left to theorize until official announcements are made.

Oculus Go

The Oculus Rift might not have been successful on making itself as a household name, but Oculus Go is geared to achieve just that. Aiming to put virtual reality (VR) entertainment on a mainstream level, the Oculus Go is priced at a more affordable rate to begin with (said to be introduced at $199), and it will be more compact and user-friendly compared to the Oculus Rift. Oculus goUsers won’t be needing a smartphone or PC to enjoy Oculus Go, it will be a lightweight VR device that can be easily used without wires attached.

For Apple fans, the iPhone X is already ready for the market. However, the leading tech company does not stop at that. Apple will also release a new version of its health and fitness tracker, the Apple Watch Series 3. Like the iPhone X, it is expected to be available by the holidays and will become widely sold by the start of 2018.Apple watch 3

A feature that is added onto the Apple Watch Series 3 is the ability to get calls, listen to music, receive notifications and talk to Siri via LTE technology. This means that users won’t be needing to have their iPhones nearby in order to do these activities.

Although Apple seems to be leading in the smartwatch market, it still finds a possible competitor with FitBit’s upcoming Ionic line of smartwatches. Like the Apple Watch, FitBit is a known health and fitness tracker brand, and it seems that they are trying to up the smartwatch game in 2018 by having the FitBit Ionic poised as the ultimate smartwatch – making it compatible with third-party apps and comes equipped with a battery power that can last for over 5 days.

These are just some of the gadgets that the market should watch for in 2018. If anyone noticed, these are mostly products from the main players of the tech industry – Apple, Samsung and Google. It should not also be forgotten that some giants such as Amazon and Sony, or even up and coming competitive companies such as the Chinese brand, Xiaomi (the company responsible for FitBit), would come up with their own new line of gadgets that will revolutionize entertainment and communication in 2018 and beyond.

Again, the possibilities when it comes to innovation is limitless. The market should also take into consideration new apps that might change the way we live in the next year or so. Some recent examples of this would be Grab, Uber, Food Panda and Spotify. Up and coming apps are also expected to utilize augmented reality (AR) more, and not just in gaming such as how Niantic’s Pokemon Go worked, but also in navigation, advertising and shopping activities by the next five years or so.

Delete WhatsApp message

Everyone uses whatsapp. I’ll be explaining how you can undo a whatsapp message you sent, even after the 7minutes normal limit, after which normal deleting (recalling) becomes impossible. Meaning I want to show you how to delete whatsapp messages as far as a week back. There is also a video tutorial at the end of the page should in case you get stuckHow to delete whatsapp messenges

According to WhatsApp’s website,

You can only delete messages for everyone for up to seven minutes after sending. Once seven minutes have passed, there is no way to delete messages for everyone….

But what if I showed you how to do this, even after the seven minutes limit? Read on!

How to delete Whatsapp messages after 7 minutes limit

Kindly note: While the feature is useful in cases when you forgot to delete something after realizing it was inappropriate, beyond seven minutes is a long time for a message to remain unseen by anyone. Secondly, it is yet to be officially confirmed whether or not this would be prevented in future updates. I’ve use this trick with the latest whatsapp update and it still works so fine, without any third party app or advanced whatsapp.Delete WhatsApp message

Follow the following steps:

1. Look at a message you sent and choose up a time within the normal 7 minutes.

For example, If i wanted to delete a message I sent by 7:23am, I would choose 7:26am or 7:24am or 7:28am.

Another example is the picture below. If I wanted to delete the message I underlined which was sent by 9:52am, I can choose a time like 9:54am.

2. After choosing a suitable time, I would turn on Airplane mode on my phone. You can turn on Airplane mode in your phone settings or after drawing your notification bar downwards

3. Go to settings then go to apps. Find WhatsApp and click on Force Stop

4. Then adjust your phone’s date and time to the time you chose in step 1

5. Go to WhatsApp, find the message and ‘delete for everyone’. The messages would be deleted!

6. Readjust your  phone’s time and date

7. Deactivate airplane mode and it is done!

In case you do not understand, I would drop a video of how I go about this. Watch the video below

Trucaller android app (To download Truecaller Unlocked version, click here) is an incredible app that makes us to know details about a caller, including:

  • The name
  • The email
  • The facebook id

And with that, you can get to know almost every caller on your phone with the Truecaller app, and only on rare occasions would you see an error!

But then, the annoying thing is that you also get to pay an undiscussed price: Your identity can also been detected on that platform that makes you see the identity of others. So today, I’ll show you how to simply remove your identity from Truecaller app.

How Does Truecaller actually get Identities from phone Numbers?

The procedure by which TrueCaller App provides details of a phone number is very simple, it just crowd-sources contact details from its all users, hence making it easier for you to find the details of number. So, don’t get shocked if your contact details are available on Truecaller even when you never used it.

However, sometimes you are not able to get any details of the number, one reason is that the number which you are trying to search is isn’t saved in any truecaller user’s device.lol

Why You should Remove your details from Truecaller App

As we know that TrueCaller lists all kinds of phone numbers, including landline phones also, another surprise is that it also shows its address. However,  you obviously don’t want any stranger to know your address but he/she is easily able to find the address because of truecaller. This is due to Truecaller’s sourcing of data from public sources. How? Ill explain.

If any person is knowing your landline number, he/she is able to find its registered address because many telecom providers have this information public.

As discussed above some disadvantages of TrueCaller App, so you should remove your number for your own security.

How to Remove Your Details From Truecaller App

For this reason of privacy intrusion and leak, you should consider removing your number from Truecaller’s database. Note that you can’t remove your number from the service if you still want to be using the app. You’ll have to deactivate your own account to get your number removed. If you were hoping to get just your number removed, while seeing contact details of everyone else who calls, its not possible.

Right? But, before uninstalling the app, you should deactivate your account and disconnect from the Truealler database. Following are the steps to be taken for deactivating your Truecaller account in different mobile operating systems..

(Click here to see how to recover your stolen phone)

Step 1: Deactivate your truecaller App account

How to deactivate truecaller app For Android Users

  1.  First of all open the App
  2. Then Tap on the people icon in the top left corner
  3. Select Settings
  4. You will see about option there, click on it
  5. Then Click on Deactivate Account

How to deactivate Truecaller app for Iphone Users

  • Open the app and tap the gear icon in the top right corner.
  • And then navigate to About Truecaller » Scroll down » Deactivate Truecaller.

How to Deactivate truealler app for Windows Phone users

  1. First of all open the app and Tap on three dots which is present in the bottom right corner
  2. Then Click on Settings and then Help
  3. Deactivate your account

Step two: Unlist Your number from TrueCaller app’s online database

Follow the following simple processes to do so:

  1. Go to the Truecaller unlist page.
  2. Enter your phone number with the correct country code. For example: +2348022222222 or +919999999999.
  3. Tick one of the reasons for unlisting, or if you wish, type your reasons for removal in the Otherform.
  4. Key in the verification captcha.
  5. Click Unlist.

That’s all about removing your number from Truecaller database. However, Truecaller takes up to 24 hours to remove the number details from its server after receiving the unlist request, but it doesn’t always mean that your number is removed from its database forever.

Yes, this is because it’s possible that Truecaller again obtain your number details from any of its user’s address book where your contact details are saved in. For example, if your friend has your numner stored on his phone and he installs TrueCaller app, you would be identified again. So the best thing is, if you noticed you are being identified again, someone new with truecaller saved your number, so you have to repeat step two again. And that way, you’ll remove your details from truecaller app!

I would soon be changing my phone from the Infinix Hot 4 Pro due to the problems I encountered- Infinix Hot 4 Pro Nougat Update problem and Infinix Hot 4 Pro without IR scanner; and I was searching all around till I made some reasonable conclusions concerning my dream phone:

  • I didn’t want a samsung phone, cos the screen replacements for a good samsung phone costs a fortune
  • I didn’t want a Gionee phone, because the screen was too fragile and gionee isn’t light.
  • I didn’t want a Htc phone because of battery issues
  • I didn’t want a tecno phone, cos I do not like the graphics
  • I didn’t want infinix anymore, cos they did not do important things I suggested to make them make it in Nigeria
  • I couldn’t buy a nokia phone, cos I was simply unattracted
  • And i cant use a spedtrum phone (like Itel, blu, etc for personal reasons).

So, I searched everywhere on the Nigerian market but I was seeing the above named phones reappearing and as usual, guess what?

I love being different. So I headed on to Amazon to probably Import my phone (which I would do before Christmas) and I saw the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4!

The latest Infinix phone, the Infinix Hot 5 is starting to gain popularity and Infinix fans are not too happy with a few things I’ll list below. I have written a well organized post on the Infinix Hot 5 here , and many fans, including me, have not been happy for the following reasons in the first instance:

  • It hasn’t been long since Infinix produced two phones- The Infinix S2 , Infinix Smart and Infinix Note 4. Production and release of phones should be widely spaced!
  • The specs of the Infinix Hot 5 do not look amazing as we envisaged.
  • The Hot 5 is likely going to be in three variants- The Hot 5, the Hot 5 Lite, and the Hot 5 pro (infinix new bad marketing technique)
  • The Hot 5 is too similar to the Infinix Hot 4.

Actually, Infinix can be better than Gionee. You may ask how? Click here to see. So, in case you are also disappointed, Infinix may have made a wise decision in making the Infinix Hot 5- I am quite sure you’ll agree with me after this post.

Below are some leaked pictures of the Hot 5;

Well, before I proceed, I had sone expectations from InfinixMobile when I saw their last device, which are;

1. I was expecting a break in phone production, like 5months, so their users won’t be tired of jumping from phone to phone. C’mon, I have been using the Hot 4 pro I bought last year December. Right now, it looks like Im 3 years behind, cos since then, Infinix released the following phones:

  • Infinix Smart
  • Infinix S2
  • Infinix s2 pro
  • Infinix note 4
  • Infinix note 4 pro
  • Now- infinix hot 5??

Sincerely, I’m like:

2. I was expecting another Androidone Infinix phone, since the Hot2 is their only androidone phone.

3. I was expecting a giveaway from Infinix- It’s long overdue

4. It wont have been bad if Infinix thought of adding band 28 Lte to their phones, CMON, YOU CANT USE GLO 4G WIH ANY INFINIX PHONE- NOW THAT’S SHIT!

Now, I think the Hot 5 isnt a bad idea, because of the following:

The Good Parts of Infinix Hot 5 (5 Reasons to buy)

  1.  Strong 4000mAh battery:

4000mAh high capacity battery combined with the energy-efficient XOS, provides at least 2 days usage for an average user. When going on a long trip, you can be rest assured that your device would last you well through the day and into the next. You dont have to worry about getting a power bank if you are an average user!

2. Fingerprint Smart Key Security; Convenient, Hassle Free

Scan your fingerprint to experience the convenience of secure ID access. The smart Fingerprint key eliminates complicated passwords and provides secure unlocking, wakes dormant apps, and enables privacy control in various other applications.

3. Diamond cutting edge design

A rigid structure has been combined with colorful 3D Texture to encapsulate youthfulness, beauty, and personalized aesthetics.
4. Cos its on Android 7.0 and the newly release Xos 2.2. XOS is an Infinix exclusive customized operating system based on Android N. Providing an excellent interactive experience with innovative features such as custom themes, Multi Account, and Freezer. XOS will personalize your mobile experience for you while also decreasing power consumption.
5. It has a soft flashlight that protects your eyes and boasts of a sharp camera.

Pricing of Infinix Hot 5

According to one of my sources working in Infinixmobility, the Hot 5 costs about 37,500naira which is equivalent to 105.49USD! That’s affordable and its reason number 6. What do you think?

Android 8.0 – Also known as Android Oreo is here! And that’s not the fascinating part- It comes with a lot of special features too! According to Google, Android 8.0 Oreo is the most palatable mainstream Android version yet. It is visually consistent, simplified, feature-rich and polished. Oreo is clearly designed to appeal to as wide an audience as possible, from satisfying the die-hard Android fan with its comprehensive feature set and advanced customization potential, to accommodating the iPhone switcher or tech debutante with its simplified layout and intuitive user experience. OEMs are even on that list, and we’ve seen increasingly more of them give up the manufacturer skin game in favor of what Google serves up. Oreo is for everybody indeed. But not many people know about how you can operate your Android without touching it

Smarter, faster, more powerful and sweeter than ever. The world’s favorite cookie is your new favorite Android release! Note that supported Nexus devices will have a slightly different experience, as will devices by other manufacturers when they get the Oreo update. So while your Oreo experience may look a bit different, the underlying features described here will be fundamentally the same.
But in a realistic view, it is unfair to know that the update is only available for Google Pixel devices for now, as usual. I wonder when Infinix Mobile would have the update, if their Infinix Hot 4 Pro doesn’t fully have 7.0 a year after nougat was released!

What’s New With Android Oreo?

The Settings menu is the most obvious place to start, as it has been further refined from what we saw last year. Most notably, the Settings menu in Oreo has been greatly reduced in size from previous versions of Android. For example, Network and Internet covers everything under that area, like Wi-Fi, mobile network, data usage, hotspot and tethering, VPN and airplane mode. Some Settings categories, however, like battery and storage, do still show that critical information.

Even within those categories things are kept simple. What Google considers to be more advanced options appear in a drop down menu.

Notification Bar:

You can rearrange the order of the Quick Settings, which will be reflected in the on/off toggles at the top of the notifications shade, and long-pressing an icon still takes you to the full Settings menu for that feature. Persistent notifications, like for apps running in the background (password managers, weather, Tasker and the like), will appear in more condensed notification cards, which you can expand for more information.

Taking control

Android 8.0 is also more about assuming control than any previous version of Android. Whether it’s Google putting the brakes on rampant resource-hungry app processes or users having more power to limit what apps can access and how notifications are handled, Oreo can do it.

When Should You Expect Android Oreo?

The first people to get Android Oreo are those using Google devices, like the Nexus 5X or 6P, and the Google Pixel and Pixel XL. Google handles the software development for those devices and is obviously working to get the update rolled out as soon as possible, so they’ll get it first. You’ll still have to wait for your wireless carrier to sign off on the update to ensure that cellular radios keep working, but that normally doesn’t take long.

Google has said that the update will hit Pixel and Nexus devices “soon.” Google said the same thing last year about Android Nougat, and over-the-air updates rolled out a few weeks after the final beta was pushed to developers. Based on that timeline, we’d hope to see the first Nougat updates by the end of September at the latest. More devices will follow before the end of the year, and based on past experience, newer phones will get Android Oreo first. Google says that device manufacturers “including Essential, General Mobile, HMD Global Home of Nokia Phones, Huawei, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung, Sharp and Sony” will launch or update Oreo devices before the end of the year. Infinix 7.0 update is wonderful!
